Each year a dozen or so young adults are sent out across the globe to partner with dioceses of the Anglican Communion. They spend a year in service and as mission partners in effecting the gospel mandate ‘on the ground.’
The first part of applying to the program is open to all who are between the ages of 21 and 30. The process begins with a four-day discernment weekend held at an Episcopal conference center in Florida. All costs for travel, accommodation and meals are covered (i.e. it’s free!) The weekend is about discerning whether YASC is right for you and you're right for YASC. There is one discernment weekend held each year. The application deadline is Monday, January 4, 2010.
The dates for the next discernment weekend are Thursday, February 4, 2010 to Sunday, February 7, 2010.
